First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation (FCLRC) and Leisure & Resorts World Foundation Inc. (LRWFI) teamed with BVR Sandroots to foster camaraderie
Santa Ana, Cagayan, 10 June 2018 – The recently concluded Beach Volleyball Republic International Santa Ana Open presented by Ceza (Cagayan Economic Zone Authority) and First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation (FCLRC) was a sure hit to all the beach volleyball enthusiasts and the locals. But on top of the fun moments, it was more of a fruitful experience to aspiring children and the indigenous tribe in the community who participated.
During the two-day sporting event, the volunteered ball boys were several Aetas from three (3) different communities in Cagayan who were given financial support and food subsidies by CEZA. Earlier this year, they lost their source of livelihood following the closure of the Nangaramoan Beach for rehabilitation.
On the culmination day, BVR Sandroots together with Leisure & Resorts World Foundation Inc. trooped 80 children of different ages to the beach to teach them the basics of beach volleyball. Lead by coaches Vhyl Verayo and Jason Gabales among others, they also shared some high intensity training to spark their interests to get into the sport. The two-hour fun-filled training aimed to plant a seed in each kids wellbeing apart from having it as their last hurrah before the summer season completely comes to an end.

Bulacan, 16 September 2017 – Leisure & Resorts World Foundation (LRWF) in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK) USA-Boston has adopted the residents of Ark of Noah in Bocaue, Bulacan. GK USA-Boston has committed to build homes for 78 families in the community. This community relocated from temporary shelters along the railroad tracks of Bocaue to a lot donated by a generous local doctor. Ark of Noah residents organized and mobilized efforts to seek help from Gawad Kalinga Development Foundation Inc..
The long wait is over, almost 40 Ark of Noah residents have already moved in to their permanent GK homes. A major problem of the community is the flow of water during monsoon rains, especially during typhoons because of the lack of a drainage system; flooding from knee-high to waist deep is a normal occurrence. LRWF readily addressed the issue and partly sponsored the drainage system for flood prevention based on the estimate and recommendations of the Bocaue Municipal Engineering Team.
The LRWF and GK-USA Boston partnership is committed to homes and community building of GK Ark of Noah as well as promoting activities to empower the residents and be productive contributors of their local economy.

Patients eagerly waited for their turn to register, be screened and be checked up by our kind-hearted Doctor Volunteers from General Medicine, Pediatrics, OB-Gyne and Dentists. A special lane for the Senior Citizens was in place to ensure that the old townsfolks were given priority.
After patients were checked up, they were led to the pharmacy section where they can get the medicines and vitamins that were prescribed to them. They were assisted by our equally patient and caring Medical and Civic Volunteers who directed the smooth flow of the outreach program.
